Keanu Reeves is 56 years old. He was born on September 2, 1964, in Beirut, Lebanon. Her mother was a dancer and costume designer, while her father was a geologist. When Kianur was just 3 years old, his father abandoned his family. From there, he was simply raised by his mother, Patricia. As a child, he traveled extensively from Hawaii, Australia, New York, and finally Canada.
After settling in Toronto, Canada, her mother worked as a costume designer in the rock and roll industry. Interestingly, this has resulted in Alice Cooper taking care of a young Keanu Reeves. Keanu attended high school in Canada but was often expelled, so he enrolled in four different schools. Eventually, he dropped out of acting at the age of 17. Kenu was named after his uncle, Henry Keanu Reeves. Kiyanu in Hawaiian means “fresh air on top of the mountain”.
Although his mother is English, his father’s side is a little more diverse. Her parents are of Chinese-Hawaiian, English, Irish and Portuguese descent from Hawaii to America. Still, Keanu is a Canadian citizen and feels that way. While in high school, he considered playing ice hockey for the Canadian Olympic team, but changed his mind and decided to become an actor at just 15 years old.
When he turned 19, Keanu moved to Los Angeles, California to perform full-time. Kianu was able to get commercial gigs and short films. However, his first appearance in a studio film was in 1986’s “Youngblood”, where he played a goalkeeper. Keanu’s first major role was in “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure” which was an unexpected success.
The turning point in Reeves’ career was when he landed the lead role in “Speed” in 1994. This hit prolongs his career, he was successful enough to be more selective about his work. Since then, he has also happily starred in experimental films. In addition to acting, Keanu was also the bassist of the Dogster band. They were together from 1991 to 2002. Throughout their careers, they have played with Bon Jovi, Ranside, and Wizer and toured the United States and Asia. Keanu Reeves became best friends with the Phoenix River while filming a movie. When Keanu saw the script for “My Own Private Idaho”, he thought River was the right character. He got his motorcycle 1,000 miles on the river to deliver the script and persuade him to take on the role.
